AEW announces Rebel Heart Dynamite special to honor Tanea Brooks

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has announced a special episode of Dynamite titled ‘Rebel Heart,’ scheduled for September 9, 2026, at the Akins Ford Arena in Athens, Georgia. The event serves as a tribute to Tanea Brooks, known professionally as Rebel, following her diagnosis with terminal ALS.

As part of the tribute, Brooks will appear for a segment titled ‘The Waiting Room’ alongside Dr. Britt Baker, D. M. D., with guests Persephone and Hikaru Shida. The match card includes an AEW World Championship eliminator between Will Ospreay and David Finlay, and an AEW World Trios Championship defense featuring Swerve Strickland and The New Level against The Conglomeration.

Other scheduled matches include a tables match between The Young Bucks and the team of Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight, a women’s trios match featuring Britt Baker, Persephone, and Hikaru Shida against Maya World, Hyan, and Thunder Rosa, and a tag team bout featuring Darby Allin and Steven Borden against Mark Davis and Josh Alexander.
