All Elite Wrestling honors Andy ‘The Butcher’ Williams in special tribute episode

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) dedicated its September 12, 2026, episode of Collision to honoring the life and legacy of Andy Williams, known professionally as ‘The Butcher’. The broadcast, held at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, Massachusetts, opened with a ten-bell salute and featured numerous tributes from roster members and colleagues, including Brody King, Colt Cabana, and Justin Roberts.

Williams, a professional wrestler and former guitarist for the band Every Time I Die, passed away on September 5 at age 48 following a medical emergency during an independent wrestling event in Pennsylvania. AEW President Tony Khan revealed that Williams had recently been in discussions regarding potential backstage and promotional roles within the company.

The evening concluded with the ‘Butcher Battle Royal’, a special match held in Williams’ memory. Daniel Garcia won the contest, earning $100,000 to be donated to a charity of his choice in Williams’ name. Additionally, AEW announced that the previously unaired 2021 house show, ‘The House Always Wins’, would stream on MyAEW, featuring a battle royal victory by Williams.
