AFA Alcalá to host Alzheimer's Day awareness walk in Alcalá de Henares

AFA Alcalá will host a series of activities in Alcalá de Henares to observe World Alzheimer's Day. The event aims to raise awareness regarding Alzheimer's and other neurodegenerative diseases while providing visibility to those affected and their caregivers.

A key highlight of this year's program is a change in the traditional Alzheimer's Walk route. The march will now begin at Plaza de los Carros instead of Calle Garcilaso de la Vega. The day will commence on September 20 at 11:30 AM with the creation of a time capsule, intended to serve as a symbolic record of the association's current stage, its members, and their future aspirations.

The walk will proceed through the historic center of Alcalá de Henares, accompanied by the percussion group En Clave de Samba, and conclude at Plaza de San Diego. Additionally, the program includes the third edition of the ‘Afables’ podcast.
