AFIR launches 650 million euro green energy funding for public entities

The Agency for the Financing of Rural Investments (AFIR) is launching two funding calls totaling 650 million euros aimed at public entities to support green energy initiatives. The application process is scheduled to begin on September 28.

The first funding line, with a budget of 500 million euros, is dedicated to new solar energy production capacities that must include integrated storage and are intended for the self-consumption of public entities.

The second line allocates 150 million euros to finance new energy storage capacities. These must be located behind the meter and connected to existing renewable energy production facilities.
