AFIR green energy funding initiatives

Overview

The Agency for the Financing of Rural Investments (AFIR) has announced two funding calls totaling 650 million euros to support green energy initiatives for public entities.

The first funding line, budgeted at 500 million euros, is dedicated to new solar energy production capacities that include integrated storage for the self-consumption of public entities. The second line allocates 150 million euros to finance new energy storage capacities that must be located behind the meter and connected to existing renewable energy production facilities. The application process is scheduled to begin on September 28.
