AFL coaches address Sydney Swans scandal

AFL coaches have begun addressing the impact of the ongoing Pullman Hotel scandal involving the Sydney Swans. The incident is currently the subject of a police investigation.

St Kilda coach Ross Lyon commented on the importance of maintaining standards, stating that “culture’s not fixed” and is a continuous product of daily behaviors both on and off the field. Hawthorn coach Sam Mitchell also noted that he has spoken to his players regarding the expectations required of them.

Western Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge expressed shock regarding the situation but stated he has not felt the need to address his own playing group, noting that he does not wish to question his team regarding an incident outside of their club.
