Afro Maré Festival celebrates Afro-Amazonian culture in Mosqueiro

The Afro Maré Festival is set to take place at the Caramanchão do Chapéu Virado in Mosqueiro, Pará. The event aims to celebrate Afro-Amazonian rhythms and traditions, bridging the gap between ancestral roots and contemporary expressions.

According to project creator Daniel ADR, the festival expands the concept of Afro culture beyond religious manifestations to include modern genres such as hip hop, breakdance, and tecnobrega. The free programming features a variety of activities, including musical performances, DJs, rhyme battles, and breakdance presentations.
