AG. AL wins Esports World Cup 2026 Club Championship in Paris

AG. AL has been crowned the Club Champion of the Esports World Cup 2026 in Paris, securing the $7 million title after a dramatic final week of competition. The victory was sealed by Gwendal ‘Gwen’ Duparc, who won the inaugural Trackmania tournament, earning $130,000 and providing the necessary points to overtake the two-time defending champions, Team Falcons.

AG. AL finished the season with 5,300 points, followed by Team Falcons with 4,600 points. The club’s performance included a victory in TEKKEN 8 and runner-up finishes in Chess, Free Fire, and the Honor of Kings World Cup. The event featured over 2,000 players from 200 clubs representing more than 100 countries, competing across 25 tournaments for a total prize pool of $75 million.

The 2026 edition marked the first time the tournament was held outside of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The relocation to France was due to regional logistical challenges and transport disruptions. The closing ceremony at the Grand Palais included appearances by French President Emmanuel Macron and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
