Agde and Libourne host vibrant summer festivals across sport and street arts

The coastal town of Agde in southern France has organized a three‑day weekend program (7‑9 August) featuring the FFF Beach Soccer Tour on the Mail de Rochelongue, a handball preparation match between Montpellier Handball and Saint‑Raphaël Var Handball, free concerts by Jean‑Pierre Virgil, No Limit and a hip‑hop night, a fireworks display at Fort de Brescou, a street‑painting fair, a catch show and the Tribute Festival with Coldplay‑style performances.

Meanwhile, Libourne celebrates the 35th edition of Fest’arts, a free street‑arts festival that will stage more than 130 performances across 45 companies in the town’s historic bastide. Highlights include a theatrical adaptation of Molière’s *Le Mariage Forcé* by the company 800 Litres de Paille, a high‑wire circus act by Lady Cocktail, and a large‑scale mime‑lip‑sync show by the Bruital Compagnie. The event also provides thousands of meals for participants and involves dozens of local partners and volunteers.
