Agent 64: Spies Never Die released as retro FPS tribute
Agent 64: Spies Never Die, a retro-inspired first-person shooter developed by solo developer Replicant D6, has been released for Windows. The game is designed as a tribute to classic Nintendo 64 titles such as Goldeneye 007 and Perfect Dark, utilizing a similar atmosphere and visual style.
The single-player campaign features 14 missions with varying objectives, including hacking terminals, stealing secret plans, and hostage rescues. Players can choose between three difficulty levels. The game includes a Cypher system in story mode that provides rewards, though gameplay mechanics like auto-aim are adjustable to suit different player preferences.
Multiplayer options include local and online co-op for the campaign, an 8-player PvP arena mode, deathmatch, capture the briefcase, and capture the zone. Players can also complete arena challenge modes to unlock new maps, characters, and audio tracks.
