Agent 64: Spies Never Die game release
Overview
Independent developer Replicant D6 released the retro first-person shooter Agent 64: Spies Never Die for Windows on 11 August 2026. Although originally slated for a 2022 release, the project faced several delays before its eventual launch.
Inspired by Nintendo 64-era titles such as GoldenEye 007 and Perfect Dark, the game follows secret agent John Walter through a four-act story. The single-player campaign consists of 14 missions involving objectives like hacking terminals, stealing secret plans, and hostage rescues as Walter pursues his enemy, Dominic Pulp. Players can choose between three difficulty levels and utilize a Cypher system for rewards, with adjustable mechanics such as auto-aim.
Multiplayer content includes local and online co-op for the campaign, 8-player PvP arena modes, deathmatch, and capture-style objectives like ‘capture the briefcase’ and ‘capture the zone’. Players can also complete arena challenges to unlock new maps, characters, and audio tracks.
