Agerola rescue operations save elderly man after fall

An elderly man was rescued in Agerola after falling in a steep area near Via Scialla. The individual suffered a head trauma but remained conscious following the accident.

Due to the difficult terrain, local emergency services requested assistance from the National Alpine and Speleological Rescue Corps (CNSAS). A Naples-based helicopter was deployed to transport medical personnel to the site via winch. The man was immobilized, placed in a stretcher, and hoisted by helicopter to be transported to a hospital for treatment.
