AGF eliminated from Champions League after loss to Sabah

AGF has been eliminated from the Champions League qualification rounds following a 4-0 defeat against Sabah in Azerbaijan. Despite holding a 2-1 advantage from the first leg, the Aarhus-based club suffered a collapse in the second half, resulting in a 2-5 aggregate loss.

Prior to the match in Baku, approximately 175 AGF supporters were reportedly attacked by 40-50 Sabah fans as they exited their minibuses near the stadium. Witnesses reported that police intervention was delayed, and one AGF fan sustained a laceration over the eye during the incident.

AGF will now move into the Europa League playoffs, where they face the possibility of playing against either Benfica or Hearts.
