Agricultural developments in Poland: Bayer initiative and rising soy prices
Bayer and Josera have launched a joint initiative titled “Plan feeding from sowing” aimed at supporting dairy producers. During a conference in Nowy Beskid, Bayer presented new DEKALB corn varieties, including DKC3752 and DKC4062, to help farmers optimize the process from corn selection to silage preparation and herd nutrition. The project seeks to increase the value of corn acreage and improve the profitability of dairy farms by providing comprehensive solutions for feed production.
In the soy market, harvest completion has revealed lower yields compared to the previous year, with average yields estimated at approximately 2.5 t/ha, though regional variations exist. Despite lower yields, soy prices have seen a significant increase. Current net prices for non-GMO Polish soy range between 1,870 and 2,100 PLN per ton, marking an average increase of approximately 500 PLN per ton compared to 2025.
