Agricultural developments in Romania and Moldova

In Romania, the Agri Next 2026 conference, organized by Adevărul and IC Events, is scheduled for November 3 at the Sheraton Hotel in Bucharest. The event aims to bring together farmers, investors, processors, and financial specialists to discuss the future of Romanian agriculture. Key topics include farm financing, irrigation, food processing, energy independence, and agricultural digitalization to address challenges such as climate change, energy costs, and market volatility.

In Moldova, the National Bureau of Statistics (BNS) has launched a pilot statistical research project titled ‘Integrated Agricultural Survey’ (AIA). Running from October 19 to November 9, the survey follows European statistical standards to ensure comparability. The initiative aims to collect detailed data on land use, livestock, animal housing, manure management, organic farming, and agricultural labor to inform national and European agricultural policies.
