Agricultural groups report training completion in Ecuador and livestock theft in Venezuela
In Catamayo, Ecuador, 17 members of the La Vega Agricultural Producers Association have completed a specialized training program through the Rural Extension Agency (AER). Supported by the Ministry of Economic and Productive Development (MDEP), the initiative provided technical training in crops such as soft corn, hard corn, and cassava, as well as poultry and goat farming. The curriculum covered bio-input production, pest management, animal nutrition, and commercialization to promote sustainable rural development.
In Apure, Venezuela, livestock associations have issued a statement regarding the theft of more than 30 buffalo from the Hato Los Camorucos production unit. The associations defended producer Julio Vargas against online smear campaigns, stating that those spreading false information are currently under investigation by the Public Ministry. Some of the stolen animals were reportedly recovered at the Fundo Gallo Rojo in the Bruzualito sector.
