Agricultural programs expand in Mato Grosso do Sul and Roraima

The Agrinho 2026 Program in Mato Grosso do Sul has reached a new milestone, receiving 1,685 student submissions. This represents an 8% increase compared to the 1,559 works recorded in 2025. The program, themed “Agro que alimenta, gente que cuida,” includes various categories such as drawings, fables, poems, podcasts, and reports. Submissions are currently undergoing evaluation by a judging panel to select winners for the final ceremony.

In Roraima, the Institute of Technical Assistance and Rural Extension (Iater) has opened registration for the Grain Project. Available until October 15, the initiative targets both indigenous and non-indigenous family farmers interested in corn and bean production. The project, supported by R$ 33 million from the Government of Roraima, provides technical assistance covering land preparation, planting, management, and harvesting. It currently serves approximately 3,000 producers across 15 municipalities.
