Agrigento police execute multiple deportations and transfers

The Agrigento Immigration Office has conducted several operations to enforce immigration laws and carry out deportation orders.

In recent actions on October 6 and 11, two Gambian citizens were repatriated. One individual, previously detained in Sciacca for offenses including robbery and drug-related crimes, was deported via a commercial flight. The second Gambian citizen was deported following an expulsion decree issued by the Prefect of Agrigento after multiple reports of drug offenses and resisting public officials.

Additionally, a Romanian citizen was transferred to the Caltanissetta Repatriation Center (CPR) after being released from prison following a sentence for robbery and theft.

In a separate enforcement action, an Egyptian national who had previously entered Italy as an asylum seeker and subsequently left his reception facility was repatriated. After re-entering the country irregularly through Lampedusa, he was escorted by State Police on a flight from Rome Fiumicino to Cairo. The Agrigento Police have stated they will continue monitoring migration flows and enforcing expulsion measures.
