Agrigento to unveil mural honoring mafia victims

The CGIL Agrigento will unveil a mural titled ‘Nel solco dei diritti, il riscatto di una terra che costruisce il futuro’ on Saturday, October 3, in Piazzale Rosselli. The artwork is intended to honor the victims of the mafia and serve as a permanent symbol of legality and civic commitment.

Located in a high-traffic area for students, citizens, and tourists, the mural aims to pass a message of social responsibility to younger generations. Alfonso Buscemi, Secretary General of CGIL Agrigento, stated that legality must be built daily through work, rights, social justice, and the defense of democracy. The initiative also emphasizes that the fight against the mafia involves addressing inequalities, illegal labor, and exploitation.
