Aguas de Alicante announces €13.6 million in water infrastructure investments

Aguas de Alicante is managing €13.6 million in pending investments to modernize water and sewage infrastructure. Key projects include the Orgegia reservoir, scheduled for completion in July 2027 with an investment of €1.75 million, and the Castalla reservoir, expected to finish in June 2027 with €1.33 million allocated.

Other ongoing works involve replacing damaged collectors and asbestos-cement pipes in the Carolinas neighborhood for €1.31 million, with a target completion date of February 2027. Additionally, infrastructure modernization in Via Parque is set for December 2026, and work on Reyes Católicos Avenue to replace a high-risk collector is expected to conclude in November, with the road projected to reopen by Black Friday.

Alongside these technical upgrades, the company’s Social Fund currently supports 2,276 vulnerable families through specialized rates and discounts. Looking ahead to 2026, the company plans to allocate €2.5 million for drinking water and €4 million for sewerage to prevent leaks and optimize the network.
