The Mancomunidad de los Canales del Taibilla (MCT) is investing over 63 million euros in 2026. These funds target desalination plant enhancements, including a 5.6 million euro photovoltaic plant and an 11.2 million euro energy recovery project. The MCT is also investing approximately 3 million euros in digitalization and cybersecurity, alongside 7 million euros for rehabilitation works at the La Pedrera water treatment plant.

Concurrently, Aguas de Alicante is managing 13.6 million euros in pending investments. These projects include the modernization of the Orgegia and Castalla reservoirs, as well as the replacement of damaged collectors and pipes in various neighborhoods. To optimize the network and prevent leaks, the company plans to allocate 2.5 million euros for drinking water and 4 million euros for sewerage in 2026. Additionally, a Social Fund is being utilized to support vulnerable families through specialized rates.
