Aguas del Valle and Esval open applications for tenth 'Contigo en Cada Gota' water fund in Chile
The water utilities Aguas del Valle and Esval have opened the tenth edition of their “Contigo en Cada Gota” contest fund, aimed at supporting projects proposed by community organisations, schools and universities in the Coquimbo region. The programme seeks initiatives that improve water management, promote sustainable development and enhance local infrastructure.
Each applicant may receive up to 2.5 million Chilean pesos, with the deadline for submissions set for 5 September. Aguas del Valle noted that the fund has helped over 230 ideas since its 2014 launch, allocating roughly 400 million CLP in total, while Esval announced a dedicated 100 million CLP budget for this edition, bringing the cumulative support to more than 700 million CLP for about 400 groups. Regional managers Andrés Nazer and Jaime Henríquez highlighted the importance of the fund for community development and water stewardship. Review of proposals runs from 7–30 September, with results announced on 2 October and project execution slated to conclude by 7 December.
