Aguascalientes Catrinas arrive at Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta

The Monumental Catrinas of Aguascalientes have arrived at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta in New Mexico. This exhibition is part of an international promotion effort by the state of Aguascalientes to share Day of the Dead traditions with migrant communities in the United States.

The display, noted for its large scale, colorful details, and artisanal craftsmanship, was coordinated through the State Government, the Aguascalentense Institute for Migrant Persons (Iapemi), and the Consulate of Mexico in Albuquerque. Following the event in Albuquerque, the exhibition is scheduled to continue its tour through Chicago and New York during October.
