Aguascalientes Expands Air Connectivity with New Volaris Routes to Puebla and Puerto Vallarta

Volaris has inaugurated two direct routes from Aguascalientes to Puebla and to Puerto Vallarta, operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays with Airbus A320 aircraft. The Puebla‑Aguascalientes flight departs at 06:13 and returns at 11:21, while the Puerto Vallarta‑Aguascalientes service leaves at 08:13 and returns at 09:50, reducing travel times to just over 45‑50 minutes. Ticket prices start around 2,500 pesos for a round‑trip. State Tourism Secretary Mauricio González López said the new connections reflect confidence in Aguascalientes as a growing tourism and business hub.

In addition, Viva Aerobus announced that a new service to the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) will begin within a week, opening links to more than 30 Mexican cities and destinations in South America. González highlighted the route’s potential to broaden travel options for both leisure and business travelers and to position Aguascalientes as a strategic mobility point in central Mexico.
