Aguascalientes Governor advances economic and international cooperation
Aguascalientes Governor Tere Jiménez has engaged in several initiatives to bolster the state's economy and international relations. She met with the Spanish Ambassador to Mexico, Juan Duarte Cuadrado, to discuss cooperation in sectors including economy, agri-food, culture, tourism, and education. The meeting highlighted Madrid's role as the invited community for the San Marcos National Fair, aiming to position Aguascalientes as a strategic partner for Spain. The upcoming signing of the Modernized Global Agreement between Mexico and Spain is expected to facilitate the entry of Aguascalientes' products into the European Union.
Additionally, Governor Jiménez signed the 'Pacto por la Prosperidad, la Justicia Económica y la Seguridad' (Pact for Prosperity, Economic Justice, and Security). This agreement, involving academic and business sectors, aims to support family businesses and small commerce by promoting formalization, competitiveness, access to financing, and digitalization. The pact also emphasizes the importance of security and regulatory simplification to foster a stable environment for entrepreneurs and local investment.
