Aguascalientes launches 1,000 AI specialization scholarships

The government of Aguascalientes unveiled its Innovation Agenda 2050, a strategy aimed at strengthening science, technology and digital government, promoting ethical artificial intelligence, and advancing smart‑city projects. As part of the agenda, 1,000 high‑specialization scholarships in artificial intelligence were announced for university students to build talent for the future labour market.

The announcement was made at a ceremony in the Museo Descubre that gathered around a thousand researchers, academics, officials and representatives of public research centres. Governor Teresa Jiménez highlighted the role of talent and innovation in the state's growth, while INCyTEA director Ana Claudia Morales Dueñas said the scholarships will help young people acquire skills in a fast‑growing field. Representatives of the CIDE, CIATEQ, CIO, Cimat and Centrogeo also received commemorative awards, and the State Prize in Science, Technology and Innovation 2026 was presented.
