Overview

In early July 2026, Aguascalientes partnered with Nissan Mexico to launch the Nissan Scholarship Program, offering 25 fully funded Technical University scholarships in Quality Management for students aged 18‑25 who meet academic criteria. On 30 July, the Centro de Comando, Control, Comunicación, Cómputo, Coordinación e Inteligencia (C5i) received a national emergency‑center award at TechDay 2026, highlighting the centre’s advanced real‑time response capabilities under Governor Jiménez’s security plan. In the same event, the Instituto de Ciencia y Tecnología del Estado de Aguascalientes (Incytea) confirmed that the AI scholarships will be fully funded and delivered by the tech firm Academia Inadaptados, involving students from the Universidad Tecnológica de Aguascalientes, Universidad Tecnológica Metropolitana de Aguascalientes, Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes and other regional institutions.
