Ahmad Luthfi promotes MSME growth and government integrity in Central Java
Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi has emphasized two key pillars of regional development: economic empowerment through small businesses and the strengthening of government integrity.
To celebrate the 81st anniversary of Central Java, the provincial government hosted an exhibition from August 20–22, 2026, in Semarang. The event featured over 100 MSME (UMKM) tenants from Central Java and other provinces, including East Java, West Sumatra, Bengkulu, and Lampung. Governor Luthfi noted that the province has nearly 4.8 million MSMEs, which serve as the backbone of the local economy. In the first quarter of 2026, the provincial government provided guidance to 199,781 MSMEs, supporting approximately 1.38 million workers.
Simultaneously, Luthfi led a coordination meeting in Semarang focused on strengthening integrity and preventing corruption within local government. Attended by regional leaders from Central Java and Yogyakarta, as well as representatives from the KPK, BPKP, and the Ministry of Home Affairs, the meeting aimed to ensure clean, effective, and accountable governance. Luthfi stressed that preventing corruption requires collective strength and strict adherence to oversight systems to ensure regional budgets benefit the public.
