Ahmad Zahid mandates Ab Rauf to negotiate Melaka election allies

Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has granted Melaka Chief Minister Ab Rauf Yusoh the mandate to negotiate political cooperation for the upcoming Melaka state election. Speaking at the closing of the Melaka Youth Carnival, Zahid emphasized that any chosen partner must demonstrate loyalty, sincerity, and honesty to ensure electoral success.

Zahid instructed that negotiations must be conducted carefully to protect the interests of the people and ensure BN can defend the 21 state assembly seats it won during the 2021 election. The current term of the Melaka state assembly is set to expire in December.
