Ahmadi man shot dead in Pakistan's Punjab

An Ahmadi man, identified as Mirza Safdar, was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Mandi Bahauddin, Punjab province. The attack occurred late Wednesday night near the Eidgah area in the Sufipura locality.

According to reports, Safdar was traveling home after closing his workshop when two armed men followed him and opened fire. He sustained critical gunshot wounds and succumbed to his injuries. The victim's family has expressed concerns that the killing was a targeted attack motivated by religious hatred, intended to instill fear within the Ahmadiyya community.

Police have registered a case under sections of the Pakistan Penal Code and the Anti-Terrorism Act. An investigation is currently underway to identify the attackers and establish their motives.
