Ahn Eun Jin reveals facial nerve paralysis during filming

South Korean actress Ahn Eun Jin recently shared personal health struggles during an appearance on the YouTube channel Fairy Jae Hyung. She revealed that she suffered from facial nerve paralysis while filming the series ‘The Good Bad Mother’.

According to the actress, the condition began after a cold, manifesting as an inability to control one side of her mouth. Despite seeking both Western and traditional medical treatments, including acupuncture and high-dose steroid prescriptions, her condition did not improve for over a month.

Ahn noted that the steroid treatments caused significant side effects, including swelling in her face and knees. Due to the facial paralysis, she was limited to filming scenes from side angles. She expressed the emotional difficulty of managing these physical ailments while being required to continue her filming schedule.
