Actress Ahn Eun-jin career and health disclosures

South Korean actress Ahn Eun-jin recently shared details regarding her career and personal health challenges during an appearance on the YouTube channel ‘Fairy Jae-hyung’.

Ahn discussed how the success of her role in ‘Hospital Playlist’ increased her professional confidence and led to numerous commercial opportunities. She also addressed casting controversies encountered during the production of ‘My Dearest’, noting that she sought direct guidance from the director to overcome these hurdles.

Regarding her health, Ahn revealed that she suffered from facial nerve paralysis while filming the JTBC drama ‘The Good Bad Mother’ in 2023. The condition, which she noted began after a cold, resulted in an inability to control one side of her mouth. To manage the ailment while maintaining her filming schedule, she underwent intensive treatments including acupuncture and high-dose steroids. She noted that the steroid treatments caused side effects such as swelling in her face and knees, and the paralysis required her to film certain scenes from side angles.
