Torreón reinforces security with 70 million peso investment

Coahuila Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas and Torreón Mayor Miguel Ángel Riquelme Solís have delivered a significant security reinforcement package to the Torreón Municipal Police. The investment, totaling approximately 70 million pesos, includes 40 new patrol cars, weapons, ammunition, and specialized equipment designed to enhance the operational capacity and response times of the Municipal Public Security Directorate.

During the delivery, Governor Jiménez emphasized that the initiative is part of a continuous strategy to maintain Coahuila as a secure state and Torreón as one of the safest municipalities in Mexico. The reinforcement aims to bolster prevention, intelligence, and rapid reaction capabilities.

In a separate infrastructure development, the Municipality of Torreón is also upgrading its road maintenance capabilities. The city has acquired two new micropavimentadoras (micropaving machines) to accelerate pothole repair and asphalt rehabilitation in various neighborhoods, colonies, and priority roads. These machines feature electronic mixture control to ensure efficient and rapid application of asphalt mixtures.
