Star Wars: Ahsoka Season 2 set for January 2027 release
Lucasfilm has officially announced that the second season of the Star Wars series ‘Ahsoka’ will premiere on Disney+ on January 20, 2027. The announcement and the first teaser trailer were revealed during the D23 fan event.
The new season will feature an expanded scale of conflict, centered on Grand Admiral Thrawn declaring war on the New Republic. The trailer shows Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren stranded on the planet Peridea, while other characters like Ezra Bridger and Hera Syndulla face Thrawn’s forces in the main galaxy.
A major highlight of the upcoming season is the return of Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, appearing both in flashbacks to the Clone Wars era and as a Force Ghost guiding Ahsoka. Additionally, Rory McCann has been cast to take over the role of Baylan Skoll following the passing of Ray Stevenson.
