AI integration trends focus on token management and creative production

At the GMO Conference Autumn 2026, experts discussed the evolving challenges of integrating generative AI into corporate environments. A key focus was “token management,” as companies face a dual challenge: employees often underutilize fixed-rate AI accounts, while the deployment of autonomous AI agents can lead to massive, unpredictable costs due to high token consumption.

To address this, speakers suggested shifting the metric from controlling usage to measuring “Return on AI” (ROAI). Instead of limiting tokens, businesses should evaluate whether the AI's output—such as reducing document preparation time from 24 hours to 10 minutes—translates into tangible economic value or increased productivity.

In the realm of creative production, former Unity engineer Yuji Yasuhara demonstrated how AI is transforming technical workflows. Using AI-friendly engines like Godot, developers can now create complex tools and games, including custom IMEs, specialized dictionaries, and various game genres, often without writing manual code. This shift highlights a move toward rapid prototyping and the ability for individuals to build highly specialized software through AI-driven development.
