AI security firms expand protections for generative AI and autonomous agents

Japanese technology firms are expanding security solutions to address the risks associated with generative AI and autonomous AI agents.

AI Security Co., Ltd. has entered into a reseller agreement with SentinelOne to enhance cyber resilience for Japanese enterprises. The partnership combines SentinelOne’s AI-native cybersecurity platform with AI Security’s consulting expertise to provide threat visibility, incident response, and security controls for generative AI and AI agent environments. This initiative aims to address growing threats such as ransomware and supply chain attacks in increasingly complex cloud and hybrid work settings.

Separately, SherLOCK Co., Ltd. has announced the launch of the ‘SherLOCK Multi-Agent Platform’. This platform extends its existing AI governance and security framework from monitoring Large Language Model (LLM) inputs and outputs to overseeing the actual behaviors of AI agents. The platform is designed to detect ‘shadow AI’—unauthorized agents used by employees—and provides independent, third-party monitoring and audit trails to ensure agent actions remain within approved boundaries. The service targets highly regulated sectors including finance, manufacturing, and healthcare.
