AI Training Programs Empower Youth in Brazil's Fortaleza and Vitória

Casa de Vovó Dedé, in partnership with the Ceará-based technology firm Solfy, offered a free three‑session course in August for ten young people from the Barra do Ceará neighbourhood of Fortaleza. Participants learned to design and build AI‑assisted websites for local small merchants, applying problem‑solving, product design and business thinking skills.

Separately, Senac Espírito Santo collaborated with the Associação de Pais e Amigos dos Excepcionais (APAE) of Vitória to run a Creative Media with Artificial Intelligence course from late May to late July. Guided by instructor José Augusto, APAE students attended weekly Friday sessions, learning ethical and creative uses of AI, including image generation via prompts, and developing digital content creation competencies.

Both initiatives aimed to increase digital inclusion, equip youths with emerging technology skills, and create tangible benefits for their communities.
