Aichi Prefecture manufacturing firms unveil new business themes

Aichi Prefecture and eiicon have held an interim report meeting for the ‘MONO INNOVATION AICHI’ program, an initiative designed to support manufacturing companies in creating new business ventures. The program aims to help small and medium-sized enterprises leverage their core technologies to adapt to changing environments, such as digital transformation and carbon neutrality.

During the meeting, eight participating companies presented new business themes based on their existing technical strengths. These themes range from developing specialized bicycle locks and halal-compliant food products to creating automated systems for labor-shortage industries and information infrastructure for factory workspaces. Seven of these eight companies have begun seeking co-creation partners to advance their projects.

In total, ten companies are participating in this year’s program, including two companies continuing their business development efforts from the previous year. The program will conclude with a ‘DEMO DAY’ at the end of the fiscal year, where participants will present their verification results and future outlooks.
