Palermo Regatta Honors Offshore Title and Emmanuele Emanuele Trophy

The 2026 Regata dei Cinque Fari, held off Palermo, served as the official offshore championship of the Federazione Italiana Vela. The overall winner was Melagodo, skippered by Luca De Luca, followed by Sagola Spartivento (Peppe Fornich) and Lunatika (Guido Baroni). In the double‑handed class Melagodo also took first place. The event introduced the inaugural 1ᵗʰ Classificato Assoluto trophy in memory of the late Emmanuele F. M. Emanuele, presented by club president Pasquale Giardina. The winning boat, Anemos II, was crewed by renowned sailors Mauro Pelaschier and Tommaso Chieffi. Organisers highlighted the race’s focus on tactical precision and resilience in challenging sea conditions.
