AIFF launches media rights RFP as Indian Football League 2026‑27 set to start Oct 16

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) issued a Request for Proposal for the Indian Super League (ISL) 2026‑27 media rights. Interested companies must purchase the RFP document for a non‑refundable fee of ₹2 lakh and can bid on one of two packages: Package A, which includes broadcast and live‑production responsibilities, or Package B, which excludes production, leaving that to the clubs. Eligibility requires the bidder to be the same entity that bought the document, with proof of payment and corporate details.

The Indian Football League (IFL) 2026‑27 season will commence on 16 October. Clubs may field a maximum of three foreign players in the starting lineup, and the governing council reaffirmed a target of minimum two‑star AIFF Academy accreditation for 2027‑28, rising to three‑star by 2030. The previous season attracted 17.56 million live TV viewers. AIFF Deputy Secretary General M Satyanarayan said, “We are pleased that the start date has now been confirmed, and we will work together towards delivering a successful 2026‑27 season.”
