Aigio double homicide: Italian man accused amid murder investigation

Police in the Greek town of Aigio are investigating a double homicide that left a 54‑year‑old woman and her 26‑year‑old son dead. The victims were found in their bedroom with multiple stab wounds; the son was also shot in the right temple with a flobert‑type gun.

A 65‑year‑old Italian resident, a long‑time partner of the mother, has been arrested and is scheduled to appear before a judge on Friday. Authorities are probing several motives, including a possible dispute over the son’s recent return from Berlin and plans to move his mother to Germany, as well as alleged economic disagreements between the Italian man and the woman. A neighbor who witnessed the scene told Mega, “Δημήτρη, morto,” describing how he entered the apartment after the suspect called him.
