Greek authorities investigating the double homicide in Aigio have uncovered forensic evidence that challenges the initial theory that the 54‑year‑old mother shot her 26‑year‑old son and then self‑inflicted wounds. Blood‑stained prints of the woman were found on a flamer‑type gun and a laptop, yet no gun‑powder residue was detected on her hands, and a kitchen knife recovered from the scene bore no fingerprints.

Police spokesperson Konstantia Demoglidi said investigators see “signs that someone has interfered with the crime scene to cover traces” and that “the woman had defensive wounds, showing she was killed by someone else.” The main suspect, a 65‑year‑old Italian man, denies any involvement, and officials have found no evidence of a fourth person from the forensic sweep or video material.
