Aina Abdul selected to represent Malaysia at Eurovision Asia 2026

Malaysian singer Aina Abdul has been selected to represent Malaysia at the inaugural Eurovision Song Contest Asia, scheduled to take place on November 14 in Bangkok, Thailand.

The announcement was made during the 40th edition of Anugerah Juara Lagu, a major Malaysian music awards ceremony held at the Unifi Arena in Bukit Jalil. Abdul, a prominent figure in the Malaysian music industry with multiple awards and three studio albums, will compete in the new international format which aims to showcase artists from various Asian nations.

The specific song Abdul will perform in Bangkok has not yet been revealed. The contest rules will follow the standard Eurovision format, including a three-minute song limit, a maximum of six performers on stage, and a voting split of 50% televoting and 50% jury voting.
