The duo Mang & Daou were selected to represent the host nation after winning the competition with the performance ‘Glinratree (Aroma)’. The winner was determined by a voting split of 40% jury, 40% national public, and 20% international jury votes. The duo emerged from a field of ten acts, including Gam Wichayanee and D Gerrard. Channel 3 and Voxovation have also confirmed Woody Milintachinda and Cindy Bishop as the hosts for the event at the One Bangkok Forum. Bangladesh is conducting its selection via ‘Voice of Bangladesh’, hosted by Tahsan Khan at the International Convention City Bashundhara in Dhaka. Ten acts, including Pulak Adhikary and Nusrat Jahan Kriti, are competing for the spot using a voting split of 40% jury, 40% local public, and 20% international public votes. Laos has commenced its selection through ‘Sieng Lao: The One’, where artist Thinla performs three potential songs—“Bae”, “Star”, and “Water”. The final decision is expected on 24 October. Other scheduled national finals include Mongolia (10 October). In Nepal, the televised national final for ‘Nepal Decides’ is set for 7 October following delays caused by flash flooding.
