Aina unveils AI ring designed to control digital agents
Aina, a consumer hardware company founded by former Ultrahuman hardware VP Apoorv Shankar, has announced the Aina Ring. After 15 months in stealth, the company is introducing this device as a new human-computer interface specifically designed for the age of artificial intelligence.
The titanium ring features a small OLED display, a microphone, a speaker, and a joystick-like button for gesture control. It is powered by a proprietary Context Aware Operating System that learns user patterns to predict and surface necessary actions, such as booking rides, managing meetings, or controlling smart home devices. Users can quickly approve or reject AI agent suggestions using the ring’s interface, reducing the need to interact with smartphone screens.
The device is designed to integrate with iPhones and Macs, offering up to 18 hours of battery life. Preorders are currently available at a limited-time price of $399, with the retail price expected to rise to $499. Shipping is scheduled to begin in January 2027.
