Air Europa adds cheap routes from Vigo as Air Transat, Iberia expand Spain connections

Air Europa, part of the Globalia group, has launched new daily services from Vigo Airport to Sevilla and added a third daily frequency to Milan and Rome, offering fares as low as 60 euros. The carrier also announced a direct flight to Johannesburg starting 23 June, cutting travel time to South Africa to about 12 hours, and plans additional summer routes to destinations such as Geneva, Bologna, Alghero, Tangier and Tunis.

Air Transat and Iberia have signed an inter‑line agreement that will let Air Transat passengers connect through Madrid‑Barajas to more than 20 Spanish cities, including Palma de Mallorca, Ibiza, Tenerife, Alicante and others. The partnership expands Air Transat’s Spanish network, which already serves five cities, and coincides with Iberia’s upcoming Toronto‑Madrid service slated for 13 June, improving overall connectivity for travellers in Spain.
