Air Serbia announces network expansion and fleet evaluation

Air Serbia has announced plans to launch six new routes for the 2027 summer season from Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport to meet rising passenger demand. The expansion includes a new direct service to Miami, Florida, marking the airline's fourth North American destination alongside New York, Chicago, and Toronto. Other planned routes include Yerevan, Helsinki, Cluj-Napoca, Chișinău, and Menorca.

In addition to route expansion, the airline is reviewing its regional fleet operations. CEO Jiří Marek indicated that the carrier is considering adding more ATR72-600 turboprop aircraft to its current fleet of ten to better serve South Eastern Europe. This move aims to support growing business and tourism demand across the Balkan region while managing fuel efficiency.

The airline reported record performance in the first eight months of 2026, transporting over three million passengers, a significant increase compared to the previous year.
