Supported by the Senegalese state, the acquisition is part of the ‘Senegal 2050 National Transformation Agenda’ championed by President Bassirou Diomaye Faye. The goal is to strengthen national aviation sovereignty, enhance domestic and regional connectivity, and support the country’s economic and tourism sectors.
The aircraft is configured in a two-class layout with a total of 174 seats, consisting of 12 business class and 162 economy class seats. It features a range of approximately 5,400 km, making it suitable for short and medium-haul routes. The name ‘Gorée’ honors the historic island, serving as a symbol of the nation’s memory and international openness.
