Airbnb launches car rental service in over 300 Brazilian cities

Airbnb has expanded its service offerings in Brazil by introducing car rentals in more than 300 cities. The service is available through the platform's app and does not require a pre-existing lodging reservation. It covers all Brazilian state capitals as well as major tourist destinations such as Fernando de Noronha, Jericoacoara, Porto Seguro, and Maragogi.

Vehicle availability is managed through partnerships with rental companies, with reservations handled via CarTrawler. To encourage adoption, Airbnb is offering promotional incentives, including up to 20% credit of the rental value for a user's first eligible booking, which can be used for future stays or experiences. The credit is capped at US$ 200 or the local equivalent and is valid for two years. Additionally, some participating suppliers may offer automatic discounts of up to 20% during the payment process.
