Airlines expand flight connectivity between Brazil and Portugal
Airlines are expanding flight connectivity between Brazil and Portugal. Gol Linhas Aereas has launched a new strategic route between Rio de Janeiro and Lisbon, operating five weekly frequencies using Airbus A330 aircraft. This expansion aims to facilitate travel and business connections, utilizing Rio de Janeiro's Galeão Airport as a distribution hub for numerous domestic Brazilian destinations.
Simultaneously, TAP Air Portugal is increasing its service between Porto and Rio de Janeiro. Starting October 28, 2026, the airline will add a third weekly frequency to its existing schedule, utilizing Airbus A330neo aircraft. These flights will operate on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, strengthening the link between the two regions during the 2026/27 winter season.
